Smile Foundation

In June 2011, Cerebra proposed to assist the Smile Foundation maintain its social media properties as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility programme. Cerebra is dedicated to generating content and identifying campaign opportunities to help raise the awareness of the Smile Foundation though its social platforms.

The Smile Foundation is a South African NGO that assists children with facial abnormalities receive free corrective plastic and reconstructive surgery.

To date, the Smile Foundation together with its partners have assisted almost 1000 children with the gift of a smile.

GIBS

The Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), a leading South African business school, approached Cerebra in 2009 to launch its social media presence. GIBS offers academic programmes as well as a wide range of executive courses and wanted to make use of social media to engage with current and prospective students.

Cerebra assisted GIBS in launching their social media presence on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube and has consistently grown these communities over the past three years through effective content and community management. The platforms are used to increase awareness about GIBS, inform users about the latest news, seminars and courses, as well as provide insight into the business world.

Servest

Cerebra took on Servest as a client in April 2012. The Servest group specialises in multi-service outsourced solutions to large and small businesses within the public and private sectors. These solutions include Cleaning, Hygiene, Office Plants, Landscaping, Turf, Security, Parking, Technologies and Marine. Cerebra represents the Servest group (UK and South Africa) on , and .

Discovery Invest Leadership Summit

Cerebra was approached by marketing and events company Synchronised to handle the social media for the Discovery Invest leadership Summit 2012. (DILS).

It was a once in a lifetime opportunity as the event meant local and international leaders taking to the stage, with Cerebra capturing every moment. The Summit was held in Sandton on 30 August 2012 and the lead up to the event included strategy, social media activity on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIN and live tweeting on the day.

Woolworths

Cerebra was contracted by Woolworths in Sep 2012.

Woolworths currently handle their social media in-house, and host very successful Facebook and Twitter pages.

They saw the need to expand on this communication and talk to the community on an individual level. With that objective in mind, they called on Cerebra to assist them in developing an influencer engagement program. Cerebra has also developed a full social media strategy and facilitates a qualitative reporting system through our Online Reputation Management department.

From time to time Cerebra is contracted to provide online crisis communication expertise and support.
