We are looking for an experienced Account Director who will be responsible for delivering Cerebra’s mission of making extraordinary things happen for our clients and their customers, and will be responsible for the management of an account team assigned to a specific plan, project or client.

Job objectives: 

We are looking for an experienced Account Director will be responsible for delivering Cerebra’s mission of making extraordinary things happen for our clients and their customers, and will be responsible for the management of an account team assigned to a specific plan, project or client.

Duties: 

The successful applicant will be responsible for:
• Strategic planning and consultancy internally
• Responsible for managing the client relationship and team of an account by recommending programmes and activities that coordinate with client’s goals, effectively delegating projects, offering counsel to team members.
• Ensure team members are performing highest quality of work.
• Responsible for the development and training of staff.
• Effectively leads a team and client portfolio by providing senior level consultancy.
• Pitch strategic campaigns that have been designed as per the clients’ requirements.

Minimum requirements: 

South African citizen (Only)
- Relevant diploma or degree in Media Communications or PR
- Minimum three to four years' experience in an Account Manager with a proven track record.
- Agency experience would be an advantage

A must:
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - essential
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

A hands-on and professional approach with both clients and team members
Excellent verbal and written communication
Highly attentive to detail - you are a "well-organized" freak
Prepared to work late (if needed) go the extra mile!
Must be able to perform under pressure and deliver on fixed timelines
Must have excellent ability to work with people within cross functional teams
Must have strong networking, facilitation and negotiation skills
A creative thinker who is confident, self motivated, articulate and practical
