Daniel Friedman - Content & Community Manager
Daniel is a writer who is currently getting over his fear of technology by entering the realm of social media. He writes because it’s one of the few things he can do well. Luckily, he enjoys it too.
He is obsessed with music and popular culture in all shapes and forms. He abuses his status as a member of the media to get free tickets to a wide range of events, gigs and shows.
Daniel has, over the years, written for publications including The Sunday Times, The Mail & Guardian, FHM and Business Day’s Wanted Magazine. He has been editor of arts newspaper Jozi Weekly and website JHBlive.com, and has also worked for The Mail & Guardian, SL Magazine and Entertainment Africa. Before becoming a journalist he worked in television, and was part of the award-winning writing team for SABC3’s Hard Copy.
At Cerebra, Daniel writes about many things, some of which he initially knew absolutely nothing about. Through writing he is becoming an unlikely expert on rugby, cars and technology, and he has been learning to manage online communities.
Aside from his work for Cerebra, Daniel still writes the occasional article, some of which you can read on his blog: www.moralfibre.co.za/shortclick. By night he transforms into musical comedian Deep Fried Man.
