Andre is a graphic designer turned tech-geek, or was that the other way around? He likes filling his days transforming chaos into order with calculated logic and meticulous precision in a quest to find the holy place where art meets programming.

He pursued a career in graphic design after school. It wasn't until teaming up with open source gurus that his passion for the Internet was born. Creating a CMS (content management system) with a team of developers in 2000, he quickly realised that he was home. During 2003, he started his own blog and quickly found himself in the center of the social media space.

Andre is a Drupal rockstar. Drupal is his weapon of choice in rapid development of robust web applications and platforms for social media. He is an active and prominent member of the South African Drupal Community and attends the international conferences as often as time will allow.

When the Internet is down, you will find him behind a console, gaming up a storm or rocking out on his guitar. He enjoys media like film and series and loves his car.
